I haven’t been able to upload this to the sidebar for some reason, but I took this back in April and just love it. I love Zach’s personality and attitude. He has taught me so much and continues to teach and amaze me every day.

Oh….WOW!
I can’t believe how long it has been since I’ve posted on here. I looked at this blog for the first time in a long time the other day and can’t believe that it still gets as much traffic as it does. So…I have a lot to post and update. We have been busy with some great things and I will start to post about them. For now, here is an awesome public service announcement from the National Birth Defects Prevention Network that Zach is in. He’s the very first one and also appears towards the end. Whenever he sees it, at the beginning he says, “That’s where I’m sad” and then when he’s smiling says, “And now I’m happy!”
If anyone is interested in having this play in your local area, please contact me, especially if you have any contacts that can help to spread this. Also, please feel free to share it on your own blogs, Facebook, etc. I know that we are all so involved in all that spina bifida is, but it’s important to look at the big picture and realize that birth defects are extremely common, 1 in 33 babies is born with a birth defect, which makes it about every 4 1/2 minutes. For more information, you can also visit www.endbirthdefects.org.
Zach turned five this week and it’s hard to believe how big he is getting! We love him and he continues to inspire us, just as so many of you inspire as as well.
